[yikes.. I've got to say, I don't like having to register and authenticate with a centralized third party in order to comment on your site, and being explicitly tracked by that authority whenever I comment. This gives me the creeps and is naughty. Damned blogspammers..]
Now what was I here to say? Oh yeah: the aircar reminds me of those little desert runabout hovercraft from Star Wars.

That aircar reminds me of the "Walking City" from the design group Archigram: "a self-contained mobile pod of urban elements"
