aku-aku: v.. To move a tall, flat bottomed object (such as a bookshelf) by swiveling it alternatively on its corners in a "walking" fashion. [After the book by Thor Heyerdahl theorising the statues of Easter Island were moved in this fashion.] source: LangMaker.com. Aku Aku also has another meaning to the islanders: a spiritual guide.

Killing Zoe & Anatomie

Saw two DVDs in last couple of days. Here we go:

Killing Zoe (1994): Medicore robbery flick that I somehow managed to have never seen before. Wasn't missing a lot. If you're thinking of watching this, I suggest you rent Bourne Identity and Requiem for a Dream instead. They do things this flick was trying to do, but better.

Anatomie (2000): A german thriller starring Franka Potente of Run Lola Run. This one was pretty dumb. Come on Franka, don't do this kinda crap. Oh too late, she's already working on Anatmoie II. Sheesh. Again, rent Bourne Identity instead if you're in the mood for Franka ...or even better, watch Run Lola Run again.
