I'm typing this from my dome set up in the orchard of the new O'Reilly Campus in Sebastapol. There's about two hundred geeks still snoozing away the morning after a heady night of conversation. We're here for the first (hopefully not the last) FOO Camp, as in "Friends Of O'Reilly":
I'd like to invite you to join me the weekend of October 10-12 for Foo Camp, a private gathering on the O'Reilly campus in Sebastopol, CA. We're inviting about 100 people who're doing interesting work in fields such as wireless, web services, open source programming, GPS, and all manner of emerging technologies to share their works-in-progess, show off the latest tech toys and hardware hacks, and tackle challenging problems together.
Everyone here is much smarter than I am, which makes me somewhat of a happy parasite. Last night I enjoyed discussions ranging from linguistics to chemical informatics, can't wait to see what this day has to offer!

I am really happy you are there! Very cool! Please tell us all about it. I am insanely curious.
